Context Reflections

d3, Dubai, UAE | Built

ANARCHITECT continues its on-going research into light and materiality by creating a pro-bono public installation in Dubai’s Design District named ‘Context Reflections’. Drawing inspiration from ‘Camera Obscura’ it invited visitors to slow down, observe with attention the conjured inverted moving image and reflect on the constantly changing environment. Using Cosentino’s first carbon neutral surfaces, the slow-tech installation is a deflection to the overbearing amount of information and technology, aiming to raise our sustainable collective consciousness. Built with precise geometry, it holds principles of simplicity and practical sustainability, designed mindfully with minimal material wastage to be demountable and reusable.
