Private Gym Q is a contemporary 250sqm private gymnasium and studio designed by ANARCHITECT for a client who split his time between the UK and the UAE. Located within a five-metre high basement space of a private residence in the United Arab Emirates, the multi-layered, functional space was influenced by the client’s refined aesthetics, as well as the Japanese artisans and craftsmanship close to his heart. The tactile material palette and rigorous and sharp detailing of the wellness project pay respect to these ancient traditions and modernity, evoking the new luxury – one of tactile materiality and superlative craft.
